Overview Of Role

JOB TITLE: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

To drive business revenue by closing sales. The role is responsible for managing the complete sales process from opportunity identification to contract signature. This includes developing and executing territory plans , leading the response strategy for major tenders and RFPs , and working with clients to develop compelling business cases

Responsibilities
  • Territory Development & Strategic Prospecting:
    Develop and execute a territory plan to penetrate target utilities. Identify key decision-makers,  influencers, and potential blockers. Build strategic relationships and establish local partnerships/agents. 
  • Complex Sales Cycle Management & Closing:
    Drive the sales process from opportunity identification to contract signature. Coordinate internal resources to meet client requirements and overcome technical and commercial barriers. 
  • Tender/RFP Management:
    Lead the response strategy for major tenders and RFPs. Collaborate with the bid team and Sales Engineers to ensure high-quality, compliant, and compelling submissions. Lead commercial negotiations. 
  • Business Case Development:
    Work closely with clients to understand their operational challenges (e.g., revenue collection, energy losses). Develop and present compelling business cases demonstrating the financial and operational benefits of the solutions.

  • Key Account Management & Expansion:
    Guide the account manager with relationships post-sale during the deployment phase. Identify opportunities for expansion (upsell/cross sell) within existing accounts working with the account manager. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and secure references
Qualification
  • Minimum Education:
    Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum Experience:
    3 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Competencies:
    Proven experience in managing complex sales cycles.
    Experience coordinating internal resources such as Sales Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Product.
    Experience in territory development and strategic prospecting.
Personal Characteristics
  • Ability to lead and manage responses for Tenders/RFPs.
  • Strong capability in developing and presenting compelling business cases.
  • Ability to lead commercial negotiations.
