Overview Of Role

JOB TITLE: STOCK CONTROLLER

To effectively manage and maintain the company's inventory, ensuring accuracy in stock levels, efficient receiving and issuing of materials, and proper storage. The role is responsible for processing all stock movements , investigating discrepancies , and supporting production by ensuring material availability

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management and Optimization:
    Monitoring and maintaining current stock levels , tracking orders , identifying slow-moving or damaged stock , and implementing Min/Max levels in liaison with procurement.

  • Receiving and Issuing Operations:
    Verifying incoming shipments against POs , accurately processing Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) on the ERP system , and managing the issuing of materials to production , ensuring all movements are recorded in real-time.

  • Stock Taking & Reconciliation:
    Planning and executing cyclical and annual stock takes , investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies using root cause analysis, processing approved stock adjustments , and analyzing variances.

  • System Data Integrity & Reporting:
    Ensuring all transactions are captured accurately on the ERP system, maintaining accurate bin locations and master data , and generating/distributing various stock reports.

  • Compliance, Safety, and Housekeeping;
    Ensuring materials, including electronic parts and hazardous items, are stored correctly and maintaining a clean, safe work environment according to 5S and OHS standards.

  • Ad-Hoc Duties:
    Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
  • Minimum Education: A Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. A Diploma/Certificate in Inventory Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Stock Control or Warehouse role.
Experience
  • Competencies: Proven experience in stock control and warehouse operations.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems for processing GRVs and managing stock movements.
  • Expertise in planning and executing stock counts (cyclical and annual) and performing root cause analysis for discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of correct storage procedures, including for electronic components (ESD) and hazardous materials.
  • Understanding of 5S principles and OHS regulations.
  • Ability to generate and analyze stock reports
