Overview of Role

To ensure accurate receiving, storage, movement, and issuing of materials to support
efficient warehouse and production operations. The Material Handler plays a key role in
maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring safe material handling, and enabling smooth
production flow.

Responsibilities

  • Physical Goods Receiving & Verification: Receive incoming materials, verify quantities an quality, and complete required documentation.
  • Binning & Storage Management: Allocate materials to correct bins/locations and ensure proper storage practices are followed.
  • Material Picking & Kitting: Accurately pick and prepare materials required for production orders.
  • Physical Stock Counting & Capturing: Conduct routine cycle counts and assist in full stock takes to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Housekeeping & Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment .
  • Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform additional warehouse-related tasks as required.


Qualification

National Senior Certificate (Matric).


Experience

1–2 years hands-on experience in warehousing, stores, or
material handling.


Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to perform physical tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills for binning and storage.
  • Attention to detail for verification and stock capturing.
  • Understanding of safety practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
